E aqui está, mais um mês que ficou para trás e este mês marcou exactamente o meio deste projecto que iniciei a 1 de janeiro de 2014. O cansaço começa a acusar muito a sério, e por vezes nem é o cansaço de tirar as fotografias, mas o cansaço ou saturação de continuar a editá-las e a publicá-las no Flickr ou Tumblr. E ainda assim, acho que todo o workflow é bastante rápido.

And here we are, another month that is behind and this month marked exactly half the project I started last January 1st. But I’m starting to feel really tired and exhausted, though sometimes it’s not exhausting to think about taking a picture for that day, but the editing and publishing part, tagging, adding to groups and everything, mainly on Flickr. And still, the whole workflow is pretty fast.
Mas claro, olho para estas fotografias mês após mês e sei que os temas vão-se repetindo, as perspectivas vão-se repetindo, e até as cores. Confesso ainda que para mim o verão é uma estação que, não tendo eu férias e estando na cidade a trabalhar, acaba por me aborrecer bastante e dá-me sempre a sensação de que à minha volta tudo fica seco e perde a luz bonita de uma meia-estação. E por isso, a repetição das flores… flores e flores.

But of course, I look at these pictures month after month and I know that I’m starting to repeat myself more often, the perspectives repeat themselves and even colours. I also confess that summer is a bit boring for me, and it tires my creativity, as I usually tend to work during summer. It feels like everything around me is so dry and it lacks the beautiful light of other seasons. And so, I tend to repeat myself on what I capture…. flowers, flowers and flowers.
Ainda assim, este mês lancei-me a um desafio – fotografar durante uma semana inteira apenas em filme. Uma semana do projecto 365 seria inteiramente analógica. Deu algum trabalho, porque acabei por fotografar também em digital, quanto mais não fosse para me orientar nos dias e temas. Sempre que saía de casa para passear o Kobe e fotografar, ia carregada com duas máquinas à tiracolo. Mas claro, tudo se faz, não é verdade?
E agosto já começou, vai ser bastante atarefado com casamentos e sessões giras, e por isso que venha ele cheio de força! Cá estarei para o registar!

But still, this month I looked for something different, and challenged myself into shooting just film for a whole week. For that week my daily photos would be film ones, no matter what. It was a bit of hard work, because I ended up shooting in digital as well, even if to keep track of themes and days. But every day when I went for a walk with Kobe, I would carry both cameras around my neck. But everything is possible, right?
And August has already started, it will be pretty busy with weddings and pretty sessions, so come on, show me what you’ve got! I’ll be here to capture you in the most beautiful way possible!
