Artful Blogging

Há uns meses atrás fui contactada pela editora da Artful Blogging, uma revista que publica histórias que de alguma forma inspirem quem as lê, sobre fotografias bonitas… enfim é uma revista sobre coisas, histórias e imagens bonitas. A ideia seria escrever sobre este blog, mas de uma forma diferente da habitual, sem seguir os habituais pontos de interesse em entrevistas desta natureza.

A few months ago I was contacted by the Editorial Manager of Artful Blogging, a magazine that showcases mesmerising stories and captivating photographs. The idea would be to write about my blog, the way that I blog, but on a different way than usual these interviews go, I would have to write something different. 

Além da surpresa enorme e do orgulho sentido por ter sido contactada por esta revista, fiquei ainda mais surpreendida e feliz com a escolha das fotografias para serem publicadas. E à semelhança do que aconteceu este ano noutra revista, estou habituada a ver as minhas fotografias todos os dias, mas senti-las impressas numa revista é outra coisa. É uma felicidade genuína, um sorriso de orelha a orelha… e o sentir-se que o que se faz com a emoção com que se faz, não é indiferente a quem vê o que faço.

Asides from the surprise and pride I felt for being contacted by this magazine, I was even more surprised by the choice of photos to be published. And just like it happened this year with this other magazine, where my work was published, one thing is to look at my own work and see it every single day, another entirely different is to touch it, to feel it published on a magazine you hold in your hands. 

Para quem está nos Estados Unidos será certamente mais fácil encontrar esta revista em qualquer lado, mas pela Europa acho que não será assim tão fácil. Por isso, aqui ficam as imagens das páginas da entrevista.

Como podem ver o título que dei foi “Embrace the Change” e optei por escrever sobre como um blog deve acompanhar a nossa vida e mudar, se assim tiver de ser. E esta entrevista até veio bastante a tempo, uma vez que a 6 de setembro celebro 5 anos de “A Place for Twiggs” e tanto mudou desde esse primeiro dia.

Ainda hoje me lembro deste dia, que deu origem a este post, que apesar de não ter sido o primeiro, é daquele que me lembro mais vezes.

For those in the United States, this magazine will be certainly easy to find in any place, but here in Europe probably will be a bit more difficult. So here are the pictures of the pages of my interview. 

As you can see, the title I chose was “Embrace the Change” and I chose to write about how our life changes and how our blog needs to follow that change, in order to keep as genuine as intended. And the curious thing is that this interview couldn’t have happened in a better timing, as in the next september 6th I’ll be celebrating 5 years of this blog and so much has changed since day one. 

I still remember the day that inspired me to write this post, though it was not the first one, it is surely one of my favourites and more meaningful to me of the whole blog.
