last weekend i was able to create several new designs for the shop and while i was designing them, i thought it would be nice to share with you a bit of the process or where do some of the prints come from. though i cannot name a specific inspiration source for every single poster i design, some are triggered by a specific image, element or colour! berlin was created after browsing through sandra juto’s blog and seeing the photo below on one of her posts! the colours and shapes immediately connected to me and i started working on that poster. oh and now you know why it’s called berlin, sandra lives there!
the image on the back with all those small triangles really inspired me! i started drawing the triangles, and used the colours as a base for what i was creating. i love creating patterns with geometrical shapes and play with colour palettes. using different shades of the same colour is also a favourite of mine! and then as i’ve been having fun with watercolour, i added something in this vibrant red! l i absolutely love this photoshop brush! so natural and real! so here’s berlin!
and if you go through society6 store, you can also choose within several products as iphone cases, framed prints, laptop skins and postcards! i think i want an iphone mainly because of the cases i design. now that sounded a bit full of myself, didn’t it? hum, but i do love many other designs by other artists, don’t worry! but i must confess that when i upload my work to society6, i get all anxious to see how they look on the iphone cases!
so, what do you think? do you enjoy knowing where some things come from? what was exactly what triggered our mind to start working towards some direction?
