hello there lovely friends, did you have a nice wednesday? are you planning something nice for the weekend? i’m looking forward to stay at home this weekend, or if the weather plays along, maybe take a walk and take some photos! the usual, as you can see! well, today i’m bringing you something from lisbon again, but this is a soft suggestion. what i mean is that this is not one of those places i usually visit, but i realized that they had been making some changes to this place and back in the beginning of the year, i went there for a visit and for some photos. this is a culinary art center, which takes place in the old mercado de santa clara, the oldest covered market in lisbon, that doesn’t exist anymore as a market. and as the place inside is pretty, and they are doing a great effort to bring different exhibits, activities and workshops to the center, i thought it was worth the shout out! and as this takes place in the middle of the largest flea market in lisbon, you can always have a two in one walk!
i went to this place in february, so the topic was oranges, as we are great producers of oranges, especially in the south. so it was quite interesting to see either ancient tools used to cut oranges, as well as all kinds of jams and cookies and gourmet food based on oranges. tourists were buying all these kind of things and the day was so shiny that even inside the sun was breaking through, making the whole area even more pleasant. so, if you like food and if you are thinking about going to the flea market, stop by this market and check the new exhibitions and perhaps even register in one of their workshops!
