this weekend, i had two fabulous experiences… that actually were great for my learning experience. we spent the weekend in peniche and areia branca, and on saturday i had a photo session scheduled with a mother and her little girl. when i woke up that morning, i was outside looking after the two dogs and when i grabbed the camera to take them a few pictures, suddenly my heart stopped when i read the message on the lcd “no card”. what i was so scared about, had happened. i always take the card out of the camera to copy the files, instead of connecting through an usb cable. and the idea had crossed my mind “one day, i will forget about the card inside the laptop!” and that day happened this saturday. fortunately, i had lent my point-and-shoot to my mother-in-law and she had a 2gb empty disk, so i took it. when you are used to shoot in raw… 2gb is something really really small, however, it was the disk i had and it was the disk i had to work with during all weekend. so… here is a sneak-peek of the work done this weekend. well, part of it!
for the surfer fans out there, as i told you in the previous post, i watched round 1 of the rip curl pro portugal 2011 yesterday and i did a little photo shoot of the surfers. i was not allowed inside the perimeter where they were resting and waiting for their turn, but was really close to them, so i was able to take a few beautiful and close-ups of the best surfers in the world. you can sneak-peek below and see the rest {here}!
i hope you enjoy this monday the best you can, so that the rest of week goes as smoothly as possible!

This is why now I always have a backup card on my purse right next to the coins :) just in case… One must learn from our own mistakes!
Lovely shots. Love the colors on those last two.
Boa semana! bjs
