and i am back for a little sneak-peek into my weekend! i asked about yours and i am still that curious! where are you? well, until you decide to share it with me, i will start then! this weekend, as i may have shared it, i went to the handmade market that was being held on the botanical garden, down the street, where i live. this market was huge, compared with the one i was two weeks ago! it was called “alternative craft fair”, because it was dedicated to alternative philosophies… there were meditation tents, aura photography, vegan food stands, massage stands… and then you could find a lot of handmade artists with their work. i had a friend, and also a client, there, and we had also arranged a small product photo session there, so i also had a great time seeing her and her work again( will talk about that tomorrow!). other than that… the place where it was held is magnificent. sometimes i go there just to walk a bit, and take some pictures (obviously!), and it was interesting to see it with so many people wandering around… laying on the grass, they were actually enjoying the garden, as i think most of them had never been there.
these illustrate much of the mood around the fair… relaxed mood… very experimental… very “let’s release ourselves from all the negative things around us”. i think that with all this crisis happening in the world right now, there might be even more people interested in these kind of philosophies. not considering what kind of religious faith people have, i think that at a certain point, people need to believe in something and try to reach something different to believe in.
these flowers growing directly from the ground, with no leaves around were gorgeous! as i was approaching myself i was having doubts if these were even real or not. i have been in this garden so many times, and had never seen these… well, they were real, and maybe they just start to bloom in september! either way, the ground was amazing with all these flowers!
i should do a “four season project” in this garden, in order to save one image every other month, to see the changes.
and this was a bit of my weekend… not to mention the homemade chocolate & almond cookies, but those are going to {flickr}! see you tomorrow!
