ok, so today i break the unspoken rule of posting just an image or two, and post a lot of pictures! just because saturday was my great debut as i have been talking about lately. it was amazing, though it was quite smaller than i thought it would be. we were maybe like 10 small stands, but even so, it was quite good! it is a touristic area, next to the castle, and the yellow tram stops exactly in the middle of our market, so they have no reason not to see us! it was amazing to meet some of the people i have been exchanging emails for quite a while (thank you so much for the visit!).
i was really really nervous, i must confess… i did not know what to expect, how it would be… and mostly how would people react to my work. and asides from feeling really happy for the excellent feedback, i had tourists being extremely nice to me and my work (i have gave a few advises to an italian couple who had arrived in lisbon just the day before!) and portuguese saying that my stand was quite different from all the others, really original and that the vintage feeling was delicious!
even so, i also learned a few things… like rehearsals at home always work because there is no wind… and wind is something that appears all the time, and even a slight breeze will make things fall and break (bye bye, ikea frame!). i also need to find a solution to showcase my photos in a better way, because they were to hidden, but i already have a few ideas on my head, so i just need to decide for one! and already have another two markets on my mind to be on, so just wait for the calendar!
the postcards, small notebooks and the cotton totes were a success, which makes me a happy happy lady! though mr twiggs was not able to be with me, because he had to take care of two dogs, his parents made me a visit and also his cousin with his family! was great to have family around and feel their support (thank you!!). and this was it… you will see me around much more, for sure!
+ the new etsy shop dedicated to design + paper goods + notebooks + cotton totes, which i named {twiggs’ designs} is already open;
+ the new portfolio website is on the air, so if you know portuguese and you wish to book my photographic services, you can pop on {twiggs’ photography & design};
+ take a look at the new {cotton totes}, which are already sold out, but you can always place your order by writing me at {hello@aplacefortwiggs.com}.

Really wish the fair took place while we were visiting, this was one my ever favorite places to be… made many nice pictures, too.
One day, I’ll sit down to sort them out and might share or send you some.

just a thought…because you have some really lovely images on your cards. why not have someone (if jewelry isn’t something you do-and there are many of us that do on etsy) make up small glass pendants using a reduced size or small colorful slice of your photos? that way you can WEAR your art no matter where you happen to be and pass a business card onto anyone interested….
