… personal moments turned into photography… that later become a book. but first a personal note: i believe that blogs are like books. they make us travel & dream… if i had to, i could divide all the blogs that i read into four categories: those that are mainly driven by photography, sharing real-life stories, diy projects, handmade skills, talented artists… in their specific way & each one with an exquisite personality behind the desk. somehow i feel that i also belong there, i fit in those blogs. they reach to me. a second category, that just inspire because they are different & sometimes i need to breathe something different than the usual. a third one, which i am exploring… stories different from those i share, a philosophy different from my own… yet, i am caught for several hours just reading & reading & reading. and a forth category, those which i bring to you today. i am in love with stories told through photography… that later become books.
it was like this with {3191 miles apart}… a book about two women that live 3191 miles apart from each other.
and it was like this with {pia jane bijkerk} that published {amsterdam: made by hand}, which shows us amsterdam far from all the tourists spots… she takes us to all those exquisite & unique places where magic lives inside & you can breathe real dutch breeze…
i would love this by christmas.
