~ and collects stools?
this beautiful lady is ingrid jansen and she is a ducth designer. her main things? stools & crochet… and here is her story.

“early 2008 i started a little company called wood & wool stool. a few years ago i designed my first recycled wooden stool with a crocheted cover for my home. after some requests i decided to make custom-made stools for other people and that is how it all started. since then i’ve made a lot of stools and designed meanwhile other interior products.”
“the products are all handmade and have something to go with (recycled) wood, wool, crochet and colour. i’m a mother of two, minne (18, journalist student) and daughter pippa (13) and married to henk.”
“besides my day job as a designer i am also a photographer and a stylist. i work a few days a week in villa augustus (a very special hotel in dordrecht, the netherlands). i have my weekly “flower day” and make the arrangements for the hotel lobby and restaurant.”
“i also work in the market cafe of villa augustus. it’s a great shop where you can buy presents, homemade bread & cakes and biological vegetables.”
…as this is the sneak-peek on ingrid’s work. it is amazing how simple & ecological this idea is… crochet & recycled wood… my love for garlands & hangers also rose when i saw her work. truly inspiring! i honestly hope you have felt a little (if not a lot!) inspired by these pieces… particularly because christmas is not that far & getting something handmade for that one you love, would be so special… & ingrid would appreciate so much to be a part of that happy moment. thank you so much ingrid, for sharing your story here! you can find all her sweetness {here}! you can say hello {here}! you can keep up with her joyful moments {here}!
