First of all, and though this is not a part that is being translated into english, I’d like just to apologize for some posts being written in portuguese only, without the usual english translation. The fact is that I’ve been dealing with a few personal issues and this time of the year is the busiest ever. Both things together mean that my days are a mess sometimes. And this past month was specially hard. Some of the posts that I’ve written in just one language were also because what I had to say was too personal to be translated. This is not something that divides who gets to know what, but I couldn’t just translate what I wrote into another language, because the words I wanted to share were in my own. I hope you understand and don’t feel disappointed with me.
And now what I start writing on this post!
Oh August, August!! So diverse, full of adventures and misadventures, beautiful moments and details, happy people, happy couples, beautiful pregnant clients, difficult personal moments with a break-up and a whole home just for myself, a sudden road-trip to Seville and the beautiful find of Barril Beach on the way home. An emotional cyclone so to say, that is what August was to me.

But that is why it is so interesting to start these projects. Sometimes it’s really hard to do the photo for the day, there’s no mood, no creativity whatsoever, and you find yourself at dinner time and suddenly realising that you still didn’t shoot a thing that day. On my first day in Seville, the photo was taken almost at midnight, as I was so tired after so many hours driving, and so hungry when I arrived at 10pm.
E é isso que é importante, tentar, esforçar-me e desafiar-me.

But on the other hand, I’ll be able to look at these pictures and remember these moments, each month, each week and each day. A lot of the photos are taken inevitably during the afternoon walks with Kobe, sometimes there’s no time for greater explorations around the hood, but you try and you try hard. And that is the most important thing, to try, to make an effort and to challenge yourself. Another month is behind and truth be told, September is already in it middle.
