you probably already know this, but i edit all my work in lightroom. even if i had to, i wouldn’t know any other way, not even photoshop. i mean, i may know a few things on photoshop, but i would feel really clueless regarding a lot of other things. and even lightroom, it has so many details to understand that took me a while to nail all the possibilities. and i love it bad, it’s like a chemical laboratory. a little bit of this, a little bit of that and magic happens!
as you also may know i create all my presets and they are like my precious tools to do the second part of my work, being the first the way i take the pictures. if somehow all my presets disappeared i would be really nervous and furious, because these presets are literally the work of thousands of hours, thousands of pictures, a lot of experimenting, trial and error. and every day it’s a new day and i get to learn something new. probably something that was there all the time, but never paid much attention to it.
the extra fun part is to name the presets! there’s always some connection to the first picture edited with that preset. so today i want to share with you some pictures from a walk in the woods on a very awaited sunny day in lisbon, after weeks and weeks of rain. i called this preset… winter sun.
i named it winter sun, because winter sun is different from any other season’s sun. sun looks different according to each season and during winter, it’s a bit less warm than a powerful summer sunset. but at the same time it has this creamy look. so winter sun sounded perfect for these pictures… we have been going for long and nice walks lately! so good to have sun back!

wow so beautiful, love this settings, so adorable really! i love the winter sun (if there’s any sun at all), the colours are quite unique at this time of the year :)
I dont use photoshop myself, it’s too many settings I don’t use, and don’t have lightroom because it’s expensive :( so I use a software called camerbag2, which is a cheaper version of lightroom, but it also allows to save the settings, and it’s always an interesting experience on how to name it.
your winter sun is just perfect :D
