last month, i had shared with you a small personal project that i had begun this year, the project involved taking pictures of tile in lisbon and the way it was used and surrounded by windows and doors, in the overall architecture in lisbon. the truth is that tile is among one of our greatest architectural characteristics, we are known for having complete buildings covered in tile. and usually whoever comes from other countries appreciate this and fall for it. we, on the other hand, are so used to this, we don’t pay that much of attention.
so this project serves a personal goal of paying attention to it, the colours, patterns and surroundings and also a hope of making you appreciate this too and open your eyes to it as well. one can only hope, right?
today i wanted to share these with you. a beautiful building covered in blue tile with these charming white windows, white crocheted curtains and as if that wasn’t enough, there are those two vases with a contrasting colour to match the overall look! beautiful pattern and colour, don’t you think?

tiles are our little treasures exposed. nothing like anywhere else in the world and most of them are absolutely stunning… my dream is to own a building covered in them…
