hi you all, ready for a rocking weekend? i am!! we have so much to do on our backyard and also so much work as usual! but i know i’ll get to relax as well, will go to a wine tasting event and take lots of photos with my cameras for sure! and speaking of cameras last week i mentioned i loved to carry my film cameras, and i shared a few photos from my summer vacations and this week, simple things is also dedicated to film cameras, but different ones. i inherited a really old film camera and a film video camera from mr twiggs grandfather. his parents moved last year to their beach house and they are slowly taking their things out of the city house and when i was there with her, she showed me a lot of cool vintage things that she was happy to hand to me. so i came back with those two cameras, a black rotary phone and a typewriter! yay!
we got to choose some furniture around the house when we moved, so we have some 50’s inspired furniture in our dining-room, and it looks pretty cool to showcase all my vintage cameras there! so today i really wanted to share these news with you along with some delightful photos of two things that must have so many stories to tell!
in the meantime i’ll get to find out if the film camera is working! it’s a crazy camera let me tell you! it took me a while to figure out how i would load some film in that camera, because i couldn’t find the way to open it! i’m not sure if it works, the buttons feel a bit strange. but i’ll just take the camera into my local lab, with which i always work, and ask them what they think. this is an old camera, from the late 50’s, but it’s so advanced for its time. it has some really cool features like using the lens cap as a shade, and making the film advance twisting the lens itself. crazy, right? but it has so much charm, it’s so simple… all the buttons are below and above you can only access the shutter and nothing else!
oh and by the way, i’m growing lavender for the… 4th time? this time i really want to make it work and i know that less water is perfect, so almost no water for that lady on the right! so now i’ll be getting on to shipping orders and keep on the web-design projects!
