hello there folks, how are you doing? today we’re back to another local markets feature and i’m so happy to be sharing this artist with you! she has been among my favourites for ages and one of those artists whose work was always on the list for me to feature here. it’s colourful, it’s bold and unique. and i have a few that are my absolute favourites! today i want to introduce you kjoo by maria joão ribeiro.
ok, my favourites? the turquoise statement studs! i love that colour so much! and they are quite bold! who wears studs nowadays anyway? it’s a bit like the 80’s without that vintage and 80’s look, with a handmade touch, use of metal details and a pop of colour in a bold way. so i’m so in love! but everything handmade by maria joão looks actually really cool and pretty!
also this bracelet is one of my favourites! the colours are perfect and the golden button makes the final detail! they are all a bit of statement pieces, which i find so interesting! the pleasure of nailing the look with an handmade piece is indeed a great pleasure! maria joão ribeiro founded kjoo and lives in palmela and is well-known for her exquisite taste in matching all these materials and colours, with handmade crochet. you can see bits of her day and work on her facebook page!
did you enjoy finding about kjoo? share your thoughts about this project here!
