today this is the lady to feel inspired by! i follow olivia’s work for quite a while now. she is a lifestyle, travel and wedding photographer based in charleston, south carolina. she writes a beautiful blog, which is always a pleasure to read and among several features she has one that is dedicated to charleston folks – charleston, i love you!
“i want to feature my friends and fellow charlestonians, to get their perspectives on this charming little peninsula of ours.”
i fell for her blog because of her simple presence and her photography. everything seems to be wonderfully composed and balanced and the way she captures light is magical! you know me, give me a photographer whose relationship with light is special and i’m already smiling. i talk about the way my favourite photographers capture light, because that is really admirable. light needs to be captured in the same way it embraces us in its warmth. not just point and shoot and expect to capture its essence. it doesn’t work that way. it requires sensitivity and patience. and i believe that olivia has all these skills because the way light is captured by her is delightful. and makes charleston look like a charming place to visit, without a doubt!
olivia has also a certain admiration for food and you can browse through her portfolio and see her food photography, as well as her projects, that involve collaborations with kinfolk magazine, freunde von freunde and many others. she’s been inspiring me and i hope her work may inspire you as well!
and for all my american friends, this is it for now, i hope you have a delightful and warm thanksgiving! i sure need to thank you for all the support you’ve been giving me through these years!

É uma pena a Kinfolk ser tão cara e não se vender em Portugal…
