ok, so as a business owner, i’m really busy all the time. fortunately as i work in photography and both graphic and web-design, i always have something that i need to do, or should have already done. i try my very best to organize my day, to be more productive and to deliver more to my clients, exceeding their expectations in terms of time, but it gets really hard to do that. and as a business owner i’m really interested in everything business related, either to be more productive or to make my business grow to that expected point, so i sign several newsletters that are related to online marketing and success by small entrepreneurs. but to be honest, i don’t find the time to watch all the videos or read all the newsletters i receive… except one – amanda genther’s newsletter.
“simple. strategic. super-motivated. i’m a hybrid brand developer.
what does that mean? i’m part designer, part developer and part idea interpreter with a splash of sarcasm. my goal is to create a better version, version 2.0, of your business through story telling, great design and user-friendly media. i’m a college graduate with a background in marketing, graphic design and super awesome business thinking skills. i was born an entrepreneur.”
let’s start by saying that she’s really young, but oh my goodness she’s amazing! i wish i had $3000 for a full brand development, because even though i think things are going great, and i’m happy with the redesign this past september, i know that there are a lot of lose strings on the business, and i seem to not find the time needed (like three months!) to stop everything and just make that full brand development myself. and not that i wouldn’t do a great job, i trust me on that part, but i know amanda would totally rock my business and help me see it from the outside and outside of the box.
every newsletter she send every tuesday nails what i have in mind about my business, and makes me think about it for a while that day, or even for days or weeks. the way she writes makes me think, what she says makes me stressful because i know i should be doing all those things to make my business rock! she has been covering everything a creative business owner should be thinking about, whether is a newsletter (i wrote her back on this topic because i feel i need to nail those email lists), facebook pages, about sections or even if you should be good at several things or kick-ass entrepreneur at one thing (this one also made me write her back, because as you know i do a lot of things). oh and yes, i got her answers to my emails, so this also means she doesn’t see herself as a rock star too busy to connect with everyone.
so these are some of the reasons to feel that inspired by amanda! and guess what? she also has free resources for the business owners, as the 3 steps for brand clarity, which you will find on her home page, as soon as you sign up! and my favourite posts are:
// facebook page design (i’m gonna nail those buttons soon!)
// designing a business plan for your creative business
// nail down your about page
// get your business an email list pronto! (one of my favourites and urgent things to do!)
so, if you feel as a powerful creative entrepreneur, but are in need of some guidance, please do yourself a favor and sign with amanda! and even if you can’t afford her private consulting time or her development project, just sign her newsletters and you will feel much more inspired, organized and i bet you’ll also feel that energy to actually do things that have been on your list for ages!
do you think what amanda does is that important? share those thoughts with us here!

É uma grande inspiração! E eu tb já tinha andado a tentar ver como se colocavam esses botões no FB, tenho de tratar disso na minha desarrumada e esquecida página! beijos.
