[do you allow me to be a complete cliche blogger for a moment?]
we have a new sponsor! woot woot! and my sponsors are the best! well, asides from all the cliche, the truth is that a place for twiggs’ sponsors rock! the idea behind having sponsors on this blog comes from two separate ideas: one is the obvious financial support of this blog. i spend a lot of time doing research and writing posts, and being rewarded with the interest of sponsors is a fabulous feeling. the other side, and maybe most of you don’t realize that is that i absolutely love to support small businesses. and every time someone approaches me for an advertising spot, and books a month, three, six or a whole year, i actually provide with a bit of consulting services, going through their blogs, shops, photos and suggest a few things that can change, that will probably make a difference.
i like to recommend something when i know it will be better. so asides of having incredibly small rates for advertising, it comes with one interview + random posts on sunday if you have news to share + one nice sized ad + consulting services. now this is my way of contributing and supporting your business.
so moving on to our new sponsor, it has been introduced a few weeks ago – olive box. so i have researched a bit and surprise boxes are the big deal right now. you have tons of these boxes in the us, mostly dedicated to beauty products (you may have already heard of birch box), but grace kang decided that paper lovers should have a surprise box too! and we know that there a lot of paper lovers out there, i am one of them for sure!
what is olive box?
“at its core olive box is a monthly subscription service for paper lovers! our members receive a curated box of beautiful stationery, home décor, inspiring books, and other creative finds delivered to their front door each month. really, olive box is so much more than that. it is also a reminder of that after an age of electronic everything, we are finally back to being excited over beautiful, handwritten letters and receiving physical gifts in the mail. everyone is so busy these days and we think it’s time to press pause. take a moment to enjoy the journey, and savor that moment whenever you get the chance.”
what’s included on the olive box?
well, that is a surprise right? being dedicated to paper goods, imagine all the goodies that can arrive at your door step every month!
“when people think of paper, you might immediately think about greeting cards. while that may be true and we love snail mail, there are so many creative ways to look at paper. when you think about it, paper can be transformed into something creative and inspiring such as: gorgeous letterpress cards, stationery, art prints, stickers, labels, bags, inspiring books, creative magazines and home decor. items may gorgeous mix of stationery, delightful greeting cards, inspiring artwork, lovely home décor items, creative magazine or cute crafty finds. the total value of the goods will always be what you pay for each month, if not more. we always like to sneak in a few extra value here and there. it’s our “gift” to you.”
above is the october box and i’m really anxious to receive my november box, as a deal grace and i made with each other. i cannot wait to receive it on my hands and share the content with you! and by the way, if you are a subscriber already, this is for you! olive box launched a #giftitforward contest so to say, which means that if you are a subscriber you can share your love for olive box with someone of your family or a friend! grace asks:
“how wonderful would it be if you could continue the love by sharing the experience with your own circle of friends and family?”
so jump to this page and see how you can share it with your friends and family! you just have a few more days to enter – until 30st october! and of course, if you are not a subscriber, go right ahead and join olive box to receive your surprise box this november! oh and you know what i think? i heard that holly becker’s book will be inside of one box… i don’t know which one, but this is really one amazing treat!
a subscription of olive box makes one amazing christmas gift (mr twiggs this one is for you!)
for more information on being a sponsor of a place for twiggs, just go ahead and read this and if you are interested, just drop me an email (hello@aplacefortwiggs.com) and we’ll see what we can do for your business! please note that all the ones interested must fit the overall aesthetics of the blog to be accepted.

I’ve heard of Birch Box but since I’m really not into beauty products, I opted out. How wonderful that there is a box for paper lover! Thank you sharing this info. Yippie….
