monday’s favourites

hello there peeps, how are you? looking forward for a new week? i hope so! fall has arrived and i’m so happy! though nice temperatures are still with us in lisbon, yesterday was one of those days in which rain and sun went hand in hand all day long! i was going out the building when i saw it was raining, went back inside and on my second attempt it started raining again as i reached the front door, but i went anyway. it ended up being really hot at some points and one moment i was visiting a luxurious park, rain started to pour like crazy! i had to sneak inside an abandoned home to protect myself (and my beloved camera!). i have amazing photos by the way! but let’s get going to my favourites of today – logos!

working as a designer i have had the opportunity to design logos, whether for blogs or for small businesses and this is one thing i absolutely love to do. these are some that caught my eye and are so precious to my taste! are you into any of these?

some of these are from one of my favourite graphic designers – eva black. i’m always so inspired by her work! i also love the small flower garlands (i need to challenge myself around one of those in my illustration moments) and the typography used! just by looking at these logos, these seem to be such pretty businesses, i feel like devouring their work, just by its looks and i guess that is a sign of a well-designed logo, right?

many people that are starting businesses, pretend that a logo is not that important, or think that they can get around and do something. but a logo is such a powerful communication element, that you should care as much as the materials and equipment you use. a logo is sometimes the first thing a potential client sees when they visit your website. and it should be a strong logo that provides with a hint of the nature of your work.
