cassie has been on my horizons for quite a while, but only a few months ago i have subscribed to her blog, the well-known the veda house, on my reader. asides from connecting with her aesthetics right away, it was amazing to find someone so talented and creative in so many fields of work. i feel inspired by her web-design style, which makes me feel almost in a hypnotic world where nothing else exists asides from the beautiful design i’m diving into, her blogging style, with out of the box features, original content and last, but not least, her posts about the journey of freelancing, discussing relevant topics to the biz!
“living and breathing design, day after day has become a routine i would be lost without. currently working as a digital art director at a global advertising by day, freelance designer, etsy shop owner, and zombie-like blogger by night. you’ll mostly likely find me with a chocolate chai in hand, concepting design collaborations, tracking down the next best typeface, and secretly hoarding paper products in every empty drawer.”
whenever i read from cassie’s blog i feel two things, she’s a rock star with all her talent, and she’s just a person like you and me, having the exact same issues about working in these design fields, freelancing or working from home. she always answers to my comments on the blog, so you feel connected to that person in a much more personal way. and this is such a great balance to find in someone you truly admire.
make sure to follow her blog for beautifully curated posts and to read more about freelance issues, such as this one expressed in this image above – taking on too many things!
