yes, halloween is right around the corner… but to be honest, halloween is not one of my dearest celebrations. one that i wish we had here in portugal though is without any doubt, thanksgiving. asides from christmas, which brings us together with our families around the table (for me, this is already a winner characteristic), cozy rooms, fairy lights in our houses, fireplaces and candles, red stripes and peppermint patterns, felt decorations and baker’s twine around the candles and gifts… thanksgiving is about a dear thought – saying thanks for what we have. and as i can only thank you to be where i am today and also to prepare you to think about what you have to thank for, i want to share this november desktop wallpaper with you. it has new york on the background, seen from the rooftop of our airbnb apartment in brooklyn!
and it features one beautiful quote by epicurus:

hello lovely girl! thank you for your feedback! i always loved the thanksgiving holiday because of that! instead of importing other holidays that don’t mean that much to us, thanksgiving, though we have no history related to this holiday, is quite a meaningful holiday. and don’t worry you’ll go to new york in the future and you’ll love it for sure!
