hello good wednesday folks, how are you doing today? i’m happy to announce that just this morning i have scheduled the moving with the company that will be helping us out, so we’re jumping around of happiness! i cannot wait to blog and do all the work from the new place! but on the other hand, i know about all the trouble about moving from one place to another! it’s perfect that we’re staying in the same neighbourhood though! it’s almost across the street!
and today i bring you something that i’m quite fond of, but was never really interested in experimenting – collages! these are so beautiful, with that vintage twist i love, pastel colours with some vibrant pops here and there and i just love what sabrina tibourtine (the owner) has written on her shop announcement on etsy:
“hello and guten tag! there are a lot of reasons against white and boring walls. you’ll find some of them here!”
and who is sabrina?
“i’m a fulltime freelance illustrator from cologne, germany. i mostly do commissioned illustrations for newspapers and magazines and shows. i have a little boy i love who loves doing puzzles and a husband i love who loves cooking and playing the guitar. if my boys are occupied, i do what I like best: working (i’m workaholic, i’m afraid). in my spare time i started to sell my prints on etsy just this year, i was too busy before with being pregnant and mother.”
i absolutely love the way she combines graphic design, colours, landscapes (see above the lighthouse in the middle of new york?) and vintage illustrations! it’s such a creative work and i happen to adore the results she accomplishes! you can find more about her on her website and of course, buy something from her on her etsy shop – eine der guten, which means something like one of the good ones!
