so where have you been lunching? well, i’ll tell you my answer right away… on my tiny balcony! one of my plans for september is to add a nice schedule about business ideas to be published on saturdays! and i know that one of the major issues for those working from home is time management. it gets way harder than we thought it could be, and eventually we end up feeling overwhelmed! well, i figured out a schedule that is absolutely perfect for me, and it includes lunch on my balcony, at least during spring and summer days! my balcony measures 70cmx250cm, so you see my point at the tiny adjective and so far i’ve been having lunch on the floor, with my back against the window door… and yes, mr kobe guards me with his life! you see i’m eating something, so one never knows if something might fall from my plate, right?
it feels so good to leave the laptop and have lunch outside, catching some sun, look at the bright blue sky, i feel so refreshed when i get back to work one hour later (yes, i take one hour lunches every single day and they do not include laptop! they may include red or white wine though!).
but of course, though the balcony is that small and because i believe we can always make something better, i have plans for it! first of all, i added some flowers! i’m happy to announce that now i have my own bougainvillea and lavender! i’m so thrilled about the pops of colours! i just hope they keep healthy and growing!
and then i need to have a conversation with my swedish friend… you know, that one, the yellow and blue one! yeah, that one! ikea (man, what would i do without this country?! it alone has provided me with my furniture and car + all the comfort and safety that comes from each one of them!). so i need to go to ikea to buy these!
so considering that i already have the #3, that i would buy only one bench and one pillow, all this would cost me less than 42€ and i could even buy one hot dog with the exchange! speaking of hot dogs, am i the only one who cannot resist those skinny ikea hot dogs? it’s the same with the hot dogs from the streets of new york, with which by the way, i couldn’t at all convince mr twiggs about! well, who has figured out men anyway? so what do you think? have you been enjoying your balconies? do you have any balcony to begin with?
ps. remember to ask your questions about photography, freelance business, etsy shops, or whatever you might want to ask me for the questions & answers feature that will be launched in september!

In my previous home we had a tiny balcony as well and some table and chairs from IKEA too :)
Looooove balconies and hate when people close them up to make extra room.
In my gramma’s house we have a big balcony and big windows (where I am now!). Love to go there to get some fresh air, water the plants and see people passing by…
So, yes, save a spot for me. I love pasta and cheese!

balconies are such a treat, that it’s a shame we don’t use them more often! and as you say, also hate when people just cover them up! first i thought it was ridiculous, my nordic friends always ask why do we do it! then i thought it had a point, we have sun all the time, they don’t… it’s like we don’t need balconies to take in more sun. we have plenty, but then i came to the point in which i find it just stupid! get more room inside the house, not the balcony! enjoy the balcony, get some fresh air, put a table or some pillows, but use it!
