hello there friends, how are you doing? well, i’m happy to announce that there is no noise today and temperatures are much nicer! but by now i’m just thinking about a few days on a paradise! remember this & this? we’re going back to this island in a few days, ok more like weeks. but first we’ll have to attend two weddings and a lot of work must be done before going. but it’s always a pleasure to count the days to paradise, right? well, today i’m just giving you a heads up on what i’ve been up to on another side of my work, other then photography. i realized a few days ago that i have this page here on the blog, but haven’t blogged much about it! and the truth is that i’ve been working on this for the last few months. the thing is that asides from photography, i’ve developed skills in other fields like design and web-design and slowly, but on a steady basis, projects keep coming and work has been done around here! so, these are some of the latest projects.
for this client, the goal was to design a new logo and design business cards! he had seen my moo business cards, so that choice was obvious! as this was a bar right on the beach with a small lighthouse, so to say, the idea was to create a new image with something that was familiar to those who had been on the place, and something pleasant for those who didn’t know the place.
then came the blogs, either professional or personal ones. the first one to be designed was for my friend marta schmidt, who is a newborn/child photographer based in madrid. she wanted something personal, because she felt the need of having a place where she could talk about her work, but also personal aspects and those who inspired her. it’s a blogger blog and she wanted things really simple, clean and not too girly! well, i had her convinced on the girly side of the header – photographers & photography.
after marta, another photographer came, well two, as they are a couple and work as a couple! they are the ones behind love is my favorite color. they wanted a blog, where they could share their work as wedding photographers. they wanted things to be simple, but cute and girly, as they know the brides are the ones who look for photographers and as brides are in love… well, they want to see something beautiful and loving! this is a self-hosted wordpress blog!
last, but not least, another lady that is connected to the wedding industry, but not on the photography side. judy is a wedding-planner, also a sponsor here on the blog, and wanted to revamp her blog that is fully connected with her work. she wanted a place to post her inspirations, but also her work. she has been a little busy with some traveling lately, so it’s not being updated, but she’ll start soon on that! and this is how i do weddings was born, a blogger blog.
and asides from these, another self-hosted blog is being designed as we speak (almost finished actually), and another logo design is on the run! so if you are thinking about changing something in your brand or blog, you can always drop me a line to hello[at]aplacefortwiggs[dot]com and let me know about your plans! i’ll be here to help you on what you need! prices are really reasonable and you’ll get a closer approach, much different if you choose a large company to do that for you, and a consulting service as well! i’ll be happy if i can help you!
ps. and as we spoke about wedding photography, have you seen my latest post about a very different and cozy bachelorette session?
