… some frequent blog features on my favourite blogs + new-to-me amazing blogs! so hello, how are you? by the time you’ll be reading this, i’ll away on a short easter break and will be back on monday, but you know me… i left everything scheduled so that you don’t miss me! and tomorrow you’ll have a very nice post about newsletters on our business ideas feature and on sunday our usual sponsor feature will be replaced by something else instead! and for today… let me tell you that my mind was tired of thinking and thinking about one idea that would be good enough and nothing was working! i thought about something on etsy (nop… not into that now, did it a while ago), opened the pinterest page and all the copyright thing doesn’t make it feel right for me to grab something from pinterest belonging to another photographer without asking for permission, i thought about jars (too common!). and i was almost giving up. until i realized that i had spent quite a long time during the week searching for my favourite features on some blogs i follow + discovering other blogs through my already favourite ones. and that is exactly what i want to share with you!
i discovered andrew + carissa’s blog through kinfolk magazine and when i started looking at their blog i couldn’t believe how young they looked like and yet so talented and grown-up! they have been married for three years, andrew is a filmmaker and carissa is a photographer. they adopted a young girl from uganda called rinah and their blog is simple and yet so meaningful! they always have this huge smile on their faces!
after finding out about andrew + carissa i found out that they were already guests on amanda’s blog for my favourite feature called my better half. amanda invites couples to introduce themselves on three sentences and share how they met. it’s funny, and has allowed me to discover other interesting bloggers and photographers. an example were exactly these two – naomi and josh of the rockstar diaries, which revealed to be quite amusing for a thursday evening (yes, yesterday!). and by the way, naomi was also photographed a few times by carissa, actually the girl above with the flowers is naomi!
rachel was already a guest here , and i really love her blog, specially after she started her adventures on film photography! i thought this post was incredibly beautiful and cannot wait to see more of her film photos! through that exact same post i discovered carina skrobecki, who is also a photographer and seems to do a pretty nice job at it!
alice was also a guest here and her blog is one of my favourites, because she is a photographer as well and she works mainly with film. she always makes me daydream when i look at her photos. the places she visits, the food she eats… and then she features a lot of brooklyn places, and by now my heart is tiny missing brooklyn so much! so that does a little bit of the trick! through her i just found this pretty etsy shop with such beautiful jewelry.
and these were my favourites this week my friends! enjoy your weekend! and why not entertain yourselves through these readings? just click on the images for further details!
ps. a quick note to remind you that all three etsy shops are under a promotion thru monday! you get free shipping if you use the following code: easterfs
