hello there my friends, how are you doing? i’ve been so absent and it really makes me feel out of this world, when such thing happens! i’m still not at home, and i keep hoping that i can get back soon, but a family situation came up and need to give my support, so i’ll be kind of away this week! but i was able to get a teeny tiny internet access to answer some emails and share beautiful things with you! yes, today is all about beauty… the kind of beauty i know you and me love! and this beauty comes all the way from sweden…. curious? you should be!
“mini empire is all about odd animals and deep woods. it was founded by multidisciplinary artist jenny von döbeln in 2010. the aim with mini empire is to create high quality products that can be appreciated by anyone, regardless of age and gender, and to bring a little fantasy and some fun into our homes.”
aren’t these just lovely? i’m just a huge fan of these colours at home, because for example, though winter is usually a dark season, or if it’s raining outside, having these beautiful products around already bring some light to your day! and it kind of changes the usual neutral tones we find in some of these items! so let’s change for some colourful patterns! which is actually a fabulous idea to welcome spring, don’t you think?
jenny von dobeln is the designer behind mini empire, and she is also available for commissioned work in both graphic design and illustration! her portfolio website has a different style, but the bottom line is indeed the same! i really love the colours and details she has on her work! and guess what? you can also find her on etsy!
and now all these croissants and bread are making me feel a bit hungry, so i need to go! just remember to explore more of mini empire website, because asides of these, they also have beautiful patterns on tea towells, cushions, prints… you can also find them on facebook!

Hello there!
absolutely beautiful samples of her work! But this is not the main reason I’m commenting, rather mostly to wish you all the best for the family situation that has arisen. I’m late myself for a promised post and the reason is also that things can afford to get a little bit easier around here. Whatever it is, family always comes first.
Take care & many warm hugs ~ xo

hello sweet friend, thank you so much for your warm thoughts and words about family, family comes first and sometimes things like this happen for a reason, and fortunately nothing serious happened, just a minor surgery that took longer than expected. and i believe that for me the reason was to get reconnected with my family and to understand in the first hand the importance of having a brother, a aunt, and also the joy of having both parents around. thank you once again! have a lovely day!
