… designing posters and exploring illustrator! i do love a good challenge and i do love that all i do nowadays for work, i have learned all by myself. i have no degree in photography, design, web-design, nothing. of course, i don’t take any importance of learning the traditional way, i would be so much faster in designing what i wish to design if i was a master in illustrator, or i could do so much more in web-design projects, if i had the training in that field.
but i do love the pleasure of finding things on my own and reaching my goals, feeling that i learned something new today and that i’ll learn something new tomorrow! and this week, i was finally able to sit down and dedicate some of my time to pimp my designs studio (oh i love the word studio, it has so much charm in it!) and even create a few new posters… and eventually i redesigned some others that i had already under my sleeve!
i do a love a good dose of optimism and humor on the same design, and if i can add some romance as well, i will! a little bit late for valentine’s (i did design it one day after the day), but the poster “let’s make love and grow old together” as a bit of everything. it’s a teaser, and a romantic and positive message. let’s not care about anything else in the world, let’s make love and just be together until we’re very old. isn’t this sweet?
and then the “to live a creative life” poster was already designed, but i think i was being a bit shy about the colours, so i gave it some attention and add some colours into it! spring is coming, so let’s fill our house with bright colours and welcome it, right?
the poster inspired by the little prince is definitely one of my best-sellers! you just need to check the sold items to realize that the little has a lot of fans in the world! i also had to design it again though, but i haven’t made any major changes (how could i, right?). but when i designed it on photoshop, i ended up deleting the photoshop document, so all i had was the jpeg file. and i needed to get the message on the ribbon straighter, so i designed it again from scratch!
this last one “this shall be an awesome day” is inspired by my love for watercolour. so i played a bit with textures and colours and there you go! i always think that this is a nice message for the hallway or our office! some place where our eyes can look at several times a day for some energy!
and last, but not least… new york! oh i had this on my mind for so long! and i had to find the perfect photo for this work! a simple message, an icon building and some colour! i will print one for myself to hang above my bedside table! this on a white frame will surely look fabulous and i do need to change things a bit on my bedroom! and with these news from the designs studio on etsy i shall wish you a very nice weekend! if you are somewhere near lisbon, why not take a sneak-peek into some of the posts about lisbon? enjoy your weekend, my friends, it has been a pleasure to share my work with you!
p.s. don’t forget the sale going on until tomorrow! for 50% just write love50 on any of my etsy shops! valid for fine art prints & posters! come on, this will end fast!
