at home :: the living-room

February 27, 2012 filed under: at home, fotografia de interiores, personal, portfolio

hello friends, how are you doing? did you have a good weekend? i’ll start by saying that my weekend, though it involved work, it was a real pleasure, because well scheduled i had the time to manage several things in these two days! and one of those things was actually changing a few things around the living-room and starting a new blog, fully dedicated to film photography and lomography. and i also thank all of you that showed your support! it means the world! really, it does! and today, between re-arranging one of the etsy shops i had to take a break to share those changes around the living-room with you! so, everyone loves a good spring clean, right? i love when the sun starts to shine and all of a sudden i feel like moving things around and changing things! mr twiggs already knows that i’m about to change something soon, when i’m staring at the walls without saying a word!

so this saturday changing the living-room (and cleaning, of course!) was my challenge! and i say challenge because without spending one cent i managed to change things around, some came from the bedroom, others were just given another place to be, but i like the results. it’s brighter than it was before and i enjoy having the black frames on the living-room (they were hanged on bedroom for ages!). another thing that was changed was the ikea shelf. we have had the beige one for ages as well, and we bought a white one months ago that we tried to hang in our bedroom, but didn’t work (and the result wasn’t that pretty, but nothing that white paint couldn’t solve!). so all of a sudden it hit me! i can change the shelf for the white one instead! and that brought a whole different brightness to our main room!

but the thing is, this won’t stay like this for much longer! i have a visit to ikea planned for tonight and i’ll bring some things that will add more space to organize things! so, in two weeks maybe i’ll write another one of these house tour posts! plus, i have a few ideas for the bedroom too, so i’ll share those as well! and the kitchen! yes, i’ve made some pictures on the kitchen this weekend too! can’t wait to share!

p.s. as i re-arranged the vintage style etsy shop, care to take a look? it has more prints in film and lomography! it’s a different style from the usual, though!

    ohhh I love it!!! Your living room seems to be so cosy and with an amazing Lisbon light! How perfect is that? You managed to create different small adorable places, impressive really. At the moment I have a big living room but I don’t have any ideas on what to do with it. I only have two frames. love every single corner of your living room, and love the touch of the flowers
    can hardly wait to see what else will you do :)

      oh the flowers! i have flowers and branches all over the house, specially on the living-room! i even forgot to mention them! :) most of them are natural, except from the ones near the white curtains, those were bought a few years ago and i think they’re supposed to be like orange tree flower! but the others i either picked up by myself in the woods, or it’s just lavender and other branches i brought from the beach! if i were you i would check the ikea live website, where they feature all kinds of real homes around the world! it’s great for some inspiration and who doesn’t love to see real homes?? :)

    Lovely! So “home sweet home”. Love your golden lamp.
    And you have good taste for curtains too (I have the same curtains in all my windows!).
