hello there lovely friends, how are you feeling today? i am having quite a busy day, hence the late hour of this post! nevertheless, this story today is of such beauty that i share it with you with an enormous pleasure! being and going to the craft fairs has several goals, one is advertising and selling my fine art prints and the other one, is to sneak-peek into possible guests for this feature! i want to bring you just what i believe has a great power of creativity, originality and strive for the excellence on everything, presentation included! i love when i stumble upon gorgeous photography featuring details of each product. i believe that this will mean one step closer towards success! and today’s guest is not an exception! asides from having a different and creative way of showcasing the products… hanging from a huge white umbrella, the products itself are so delicate and make us dream with our eyes open… dream of a different world… ladies and gents, here is {senhor de si}! claudia and marisa, sisters, own this project.
hello there, how are you? so thank you for being here… let’s start with a simple question! what can you tell us about yourself? hello there! well, what i can say is that i believe in dreams, in the greatness of life, and i always try to remember that my steps should follow my heart.
how did your business start? what made you take the plunge? {senhor de si} was born from a union between psychology and design, my expertise area and my sisters’. the aim has always been, and still is, exploring the creativity and reinventing the concepts. and also what made us take the plunge was actually the plunge itself.
do you do anything else besides that or is it possible for you to make a living out of your business? my work and my life are closely connected. i’m fortunate to work on what i believe and live according to it.
where do you seek for inspiration? in and out of me. everywhere…
what do you do to promote your business? what has been helpful? we have made several investments, each with varying degrees of success. from advertising, to creating a blog, which is relatively recent, and now we are moving forward with the site. however, spreading the word through customers and those who like our work has been quite helpful and, this way, you can reach anyone. it is essential.
what advice would you give for those small business owners/design-makers in portugal? this is hard! patience. persistence. believe in what you do and always try to get better. simple words, with a great meaning!
so, what do you think? was i right or not? i think these are so beautiful and delicate… every single piece with its own character. you can almost write a few words about the world each one lives in… the colours they use… their gestures… like they are dancing or singing or kissing… beautifully made! you can explore their {blog} and find out where they will be, because they can be found at craft fairs quite often!
