every time i am wandering around etsy, there are many things that make me favorite a shop or some item. mainly its photography. even if it is something i don’t intend to buy, nor something i would need… i like to keep beautiful things close, and if they are beautifully photographed, i will click on the little heart. and this happened with {mikodesign}. well, but in this case, asides from photography… erika harberts designs the most adorable dolls… and other handscreenprinted products.
erika writes a blog under the same name and there she introduces herself like this…
“my name is erika harberts and i’m the writer of this blog. i’m a designer, small business owner and mother of two lovely girls sofia (9 years) and mila (7) years and live in the city centre of rotterdam in the netherlands. after one year of fashion school, i studied textile monumental art and started making clothes and softies for my girls and started mikodesign. i started this blog march 2006 as a creative outlet and as a journal for my business, blogging is for me a way to meet other creative people and share my creativity and hopefully to inspire others to bring more creativity into live!”
the interesting thing about {mikodesign} is that you receive everything you need to sew these dolls yourself! it is like ikea for dolls! you can follow erika’s blog {here}, website {here} and even go through mikodesign’ catalogue {here}.
p.s. are you still adjusting yourself to facebook changes? well, if you follow {a place for twiggs} on facebook, you might want to follow {these steps} in order to keep yourself updated about what i do and write about!
