hello hello! how are you? and wednesday is here! how fast is this month going on? do you feel the same? we just left august, began september and we are already on our way to october? whow! time is flying around here! so, if i can please ask the time to slow down just a little bit…. it’s because i have something to show you and it would require some time! i stumbled upon this shop and i surrender, my friends! i am this close to almost wanting a nice romantic wedding by the river in the woods. i just made this setting up, i don’t have any place in particular in mind, but a river + woods would be like something so beautiful! and to match all this wild and serene setting, i introduce to you the romantic details that would help to compose such day. readers, meet {mignonne handmade}!

“jenn wood, owner and designer of mignonne handmade, graduated from temple university in 2000 with a degree in art history. after working for a prominent local antiques dealer for a short time after graduating, she began to intern at a local flower shop and fell in love with the art of floral design. she continued on this path after a 2003 move to phoenix, az and has been a small business owner since 2005. jolie jour flowers caters to smaller creative weddings in the phoenix area and incorporates eco-friendly flowers in real and handmade forms.”

“darling pieces hand made for you with love for a special day or everyday… each flower is handmade, hand dyed and cut, pressed with a vintage milliners iron and hand sewn together. i love to use lots of interesting bits of vintage this and that to add whimsy and magic, some of the vintage items used have been handpicked by me in the flea markets of france. i incorporate my own aesthetic when creating these flowers and as a result they are not “perfect” factory made looking pieces, they are all individual and have their own character and quirks, hope you like them too!”
