and i am back for more delicious recipes as promised! so as you may have noticed and as i told you last month, sylvie from {gourmande in the kitchen} will join us every month for a round-up of recipes, according to a topic she chooses. last month, sylvie brought us delicious recipes about icy-cold frozen treats. and how about today? it’s still summer… i wonder if she brings something summerish!
“nothing says summer time more than a juicy ripe peach. there’s no mistaking a ripe peach, when you get close to its sweet, spellbinding fragrance, it beckons you to bite in. once i find the right ones, and have eaten as much as humanly possible out of hand, i incorporate them into as many dishes as possible, both savory and sweet to extend the fleeting pleasure. here are a few peach recipes that i’ll be making this summer…
{grilled peaches and haloumi salad} from maria of {scandi foodie} – grilled peaches and haloumi compliment each other perfectly in this simple salad.
{rustic grilled peaches pizza} from sonia of {the healthy foodie} – an amazing combination, of caramelized onion, grilled peaches, blue cheese, toasted walnuts, fresh sage, arugula and balsamic on a pizza crust.
{peach cobbler coconut pancakes} also from sonia of {the healthy foodie} – a luscious combination of coconut flour pancakes, peach sauce and an almond crumble.
{peach and lavender sorbet} from meeta of {what’s for lunch honey} – fresh, ripe peaches and a subtle hint of lavender give this peach and lavender sorbet a big taste of summer.
{peach blueberry pie} from hannah of {honey and jam} – a summery combination of peaches and blueberries peek out from beneath a beautiful lattice top in this rustic pie.
so what do you think? i can tell you that one of my favourite things about summer is exactly summer fruits. all the colours… the juicy tastes… the textures… oh, is there anything better to make our summer days more delicious? we have sun, we have golden beaches… wet feet by the sea… and summer fruits for breakfast, for lunch, for a snack… and everything healthy. thank you sylvie for this delicious round-up and of course, thank you ladies for also being a part of this!
