lisbon stories :: graça (the second story)

July 12, 2011 filed under: hello twiggs personal, lisbon stories, photography

hello hello, how are you? doing good this week? i think this will be a great week, how about you? well, remember last week when i introduced a new {neighbourhood} to you? so, this a very beautiful and typical neighbourhood, so i needed to divide it in two, so that you don’t loose a bit about the perfumed scent around here. it will make you wish to fly to lisbon soon, really soon! so this is {graça}… a neighbourhood filled with light & bright colours. it seems like it is always a sunny day there.

whenever i wander around these streets with my camera and pass by tourists, i just imagine how good they must feel here. we are a fortunate country concerning the sun light (there is actually people who do not consider living abroad because of that!), so i can only imagine how cool they must think about having grilled sardines in these large sidewalks catching some sun… and listening to fado (yes, usually there is someone inside an apartment or a store with fado playing). i think they enjoy lisbon mainly because of these experiences… these moments. all i can think of is my spanish neighbours, because they too have a lot of sun… and know their way about enjoying the sun (oh tapas & beer, i love you!). and this was another dip into lisbon’s neighbourhoods… i hope this is causing you some curiosity, enough to dream about a few days here!

images: all by me, and there is more on {facebook}… and as we are talking about facebook, do you tweet? i have been {tweeting} all day long now for two weeks! no, i am still not on google +! enough with more social networks!
