do you know brian ferry? no, not the {more than this} singer (which i actually saw last year on the day my nephew was born and really liked… what can i say, the man still has it!), but i am talking about brian ferry the photographer from the blog {the blue hour}. once, probably reading what {kate} wrote, i bumped into his blog and immediately fell in love. brian uses film and it feels like we go with him everywhere he goes, whether he is home alone capturing the light on his kitchen, or at dinner parties with friends… or talking a walk through the streets of london. everything has a certain mood, well that only film is capable of having, i think. as i usually say it is something like an old movie… in europe.
why do i like brian’s blog? there are many reasons… because he uses film and is also a fan of lomo cameras. because it is a plain and simple blog and unpretentious. because he shares his life with his readers on the things he likes. and we have a lot in common. for what i see, we both like to eat well, cozy and warm restaurants and delicious wine.
“hello. i’m brian. i currently live in london, england and i used to live in brooklyn, new york. i like cooking, eating + drinking, good music, exploring, and taking photographs. this is an online journal where i post my photos. i also talk about daily life, and make notes about things i like.”
{this actually made me grab a piece of cured ham i had, along with cheese and black coffee… oh my}
if you like film, if you like good food, good wine… late dinners, cozy places, then {the blue hour} is the kind of blog that will make you sit, grab a glass of wine and enjoy brian’s lifestyle in london. and if i can say one more thing, brian also makes me want to carry my lomo/film camera with me all the time, even when i am walking mr. kobe. here is his {blog}, {flickr}, {pinterest} and {portfolio}.
