hello there sweet friends, how are you doing? today i am happy to share some news with you. remember me talking about feeling a bit shy to ask for permission to take photos in some places i visit and love? well, due to all your encouragement and also mr twiggs’ as well, i have finally stepped away from that shy place and moved forward to a new courageous twiggs. so i started to introduce myself to some shops and let them know what i do and what i would like to do about their shops. the first one on my list was clear. i had mention it {before}, but i am pretty sure you would like to see it inside. the store’s name is wonderful… {voa}… which means {fly}.
{voa} is almost a national concept. they try their best to have the best national products, though not everything is national. but what drives them to look for something outside of portugal, is the search for something unique that will fit perfectly into their concept. their concept is also about providing their customers with a unique experience. this experience starts by having some products that belong to our childhood memories and also to bring to our home those items that are precious and have the quality we deserve. and sometimes we do forget what quality feels like…
{voa} is also about flavours… as in the first floor you will find beautiful china… lovely chairs and delightful design books by taschen. and if you wish to get something for a dear friend… or surprise your loved one, you have chocolates, traditional jams… and so many other things to turn your day into a delicious one. flowers are also present on the ground floor… and though you might suspect that they are not natural, because they look so vivid and perfect… do not be shy and touch them or smell them… they are as natural as they could. and who does not love a store filled with flowers? i am surrendered.
if you are in lisbon, you will find this store {here} and get the news through {facebook}… if you are not from lisbon, but you are coming, just keep your eyes open when you visit chiado. i would love to thank the managers that allowed me to take all these pictures and share this with you. and now i think i will have the courage to keep going… maybe a project like this {one} will be born, who knows? see you in a bit, my friends!

Fotos lindas! Já lá estive, e gostei muito do espaço e do ambiente. Também levava uma máquina fotográfica comigo, mas não tive coragem de perguntar. Pra próxima talvez faça como tu, até porque adorava tirar umas fotos com a minha máquina analógica :)
