hi you all, did you sleep tight? did you start your day in a very good way? i need to say that i did… but i usually do, so no news there! i have mr twiggs back home, my laptop back with me… and as he had been quite in the north, almost in spain… and people there are beyond nice, he came home with rosemary olive oil, honey, and several {alheiras de vinhais}. as someone who has been on training sessions all over this country for years… i must recognize that, although i love my country, north has a certain magic for me. i have the best memories of my training sessions in the north… so, moving on, because this way i am getting really hungry! today i visited etsy searching for a beautiful shop for you and have found it. today i am in the mood for neutral things… simple objects photographed beautifully, like you know i love.
i love these shops that bring to us objects with memories… with stories… with love… objects that once were in a home, serving a family. and somehow i would love to know some stories behind these objects. either way… you can have them in your home and write your own story. these objects are brought by hanlie joubert from {simply objekts}.
“hello! my name is hanlie joubert. i am a 30-something, wife, mom, afrikaans speaking, coffee drinking, vegetarian, dreamer. even though i am the biggest homebody you will ever meet, i love to travel and have once called africa, europe and now america, home. i love simplicity in every area of my life. from the food i prepare for my family to the way i raise my children.”
“my biggest passion is interior design. my love for finding simple, worn, imperfect pieces and mix it with new, has led to the opening of my little shop in 2009.”
hanlie sure knows her way to capture each object’s beauty and simplicity. though my home does not quite fit into this kind of details, i find them really amazing. and you could also sneak-peek into her {blog}, as she gathers a few interior styling images that fit perfectly in these objects. neutral homes… simple and pure.
i remember that one of the first things i spotted on etsy was a mason jar. i found it so beautiful, so vintage… it spoke to me in that instant like if i had memories of mason jars. which i don’t because i am not american! i would love one of these in my home though… filled with flowers! make sure you visit hanlie in her {shop}… and let these objects tell you a story.
