{random stories} :: the so expected moment

… my lovely friends, it is time to announce that i have finally upgraded to a new camera. i am beyond happy… i have done the chicken dance all morning (mr kobe was not sure about what was going on with me…). i went to pick up the camera last tuesday, but the lens just arrived today. it was a long wait for such an anxious girl like me! oh, of course, what camera did i buy? canon 550d with a canon 50mm 1.8. well, you see i thought about saving for a canon 50d, then i thought i could save for a canon 5d… but then i realized that it would take too long and i really needed to upgrade. so according to what i saved and the quality i wanted and few advice here and there, specially from the lovely {jackie rueda}, i chose this camera + lens. the first pictures around the house… just a few random ones… sooc.

i am astonished by the quality of this lens… its definition… the colours… without a single touch of processing, they come out like this. for me that have benn using a point-and-shoot camera for ages, i am completely surrended. and i can feel the slight taste of addiction, because today i was browsing for new lenses already (keep it cool, ms twiggs, keep it cool!) and now i am going to be back for one last slice of news!

ps. lovely photographers friends, how do you work your raw images? i have imported them to lightroom, it seems that i can’t do it on photoshop. do you use any other program to upload your raw images?
