Hello sweet friends!
I hope your weekend was as great as you wished for! There is another week coming and as it is usual, today is Sneak-Peek day at {apft}!!
Today we have… Photography!
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
Elliott Erwitt
Today I chose someone that belongs to my contacts on Flickr. Her name is Christina, but this information itself won’t let you find her. She doesn’t sell her photographs and feels a bit strange when her photos are called “work”… but in the end you will realize that “work” is the right word for this.
“I am a 27 year old German living in Stockholm, loving interior design, clothing, music, dancing and of course photgraphy.”
{let’s ride today?}
Let’s see what she has to say about this:
“I have always been weak for small things – it is the small details that capture my attention and make their way into my memory. It’s them I remember from my childhood: my grandmas old radio, her flowery kitchentiles, the pattern and structure of my parents brown 80’s couch, the cups and saucers in the cupboard, a handful of red currants, the small crystal plates we ate ice cream from…”

“I never had the intention to do this professionally and will probably never do that, but I want to capture these little joyful moments, colours, moods and arrangement for my memory. I love wandering the city and the countryside with my camera, always looking for things that capture my intention and speak to my mind. I started sharing my pictures on Flickr last year and I am happy to see that people like them, I never expected so much response. Being around Flickr inspires me a lot, browsing my contacts’ pictures gives me fresh and new ideas and I feel I can develop my skills so much and have been developing them since I have signed up.”

“Just a small note on the picture with the lamp…
I was visiting my friend i the Northern Swedish region of Dalarna, where he had bought an old house from the sixteen hundreds…We came home after a long day outside in the lovely countryside. Taking a boat tour on lake Siljan, walking through the woods and lovley summer meadows. When we arrived home he lit the old oil-lamp and placed it on the old table, near the window with the lovely view in the swedish midsummer sun – a truly magical light. All these small elements suddenly added up to a very special mood. It felt kind of timeless – nothing in this scenery fetl 2010 – it could have been 1910 as well…”
