Hello sweet friends! How are you?
I’ve been a little absent these last days, but it’s amazing how days can be overwhelming with not much asides work, cooking dinner, romantism (you read it right!), other domestic tasks… and this week I’ve been overwhelmed with the amazing list of delightful blogs that Kristi has posted on her blog! And now it’s already Thursday and I’m also so behind my Flickr friends’ streams… and my camera has been so quiet!
Well, today we have {at home… far away from home} interview and {apft} as a special special guest! This girl (always a girl, must invite a man for a change!) has delighted me with her pictures since the very first one I saw. I think I just found her out through the favourites of some friend in Flickr, and it was pure joy! I just love the feeling that there is someone out there so talented and special in the way of creating a vision of this same world in which we live in… and then finding that person and finding that there are also so many friends in common!
Well… her name begins with an F… she was born in Colombia… and lives in France (with an F!). I believe that she a soul of an artist… and yet she says “Soy Economista y ahora mama a full time!”. When I look at her icon… she reminds me of Amelie Poulain (I just hope you like her to0!)
Her name is Françoise Rachez… born in Bogotá, Colombia.
{Françoise’s talent…available on Etsy}
Well… as I told her today, one of my dreams, concerning travelling… is to go through all South America, from Peru to Chile… so I will definitely ask Françoise for some tips… one day, I hope! And one of my favourite songs is Chan Chan, from Buena Vista Social Club… (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JEdf7XsV5g) you should really listen! However they are not from Colombia, but from Cuba! And so I thought about asking one more thing to Françoise… how about colombian music?
She introduced me to this…
{please listen while you read Françoise…}
1. Hello… How are you? Can you tell me something that describes who’s Françoise Rachez?
Hi! I am glad to be on your blog and answer your questions! Thanks for inviting me! Françoise is a dreamy girl, passionate and supremely committed and very very romantic…

2. You were born in…
Bogota, Colombia. A beautiful country in South America, full of wonderful people, despite all the problems that we have, we continue dreaming for better country every day.

3. And now you are in… … for how many years?
Pau, a small town in the South of France. A lovely place with some very important history background and a very pleasant atmosphere. In fact we don’t know how long we will be here… and at this point now we don’t have plans to change to some other place.

4. Do you remember what were you feeling/thinking in the day you decided to go abroad?
It’s not really the first time I left my country, before I have had the opportunity to travel and live elsewhere, but the decision to come to live in France, specifically, was taken by both of us, me and my husband. For professional reasons it was better if he settled here, his work is here and we can live quietly, while I devote myself entirely to raising my son, because that is my desire!

5. What do you like the most in your current place?
I must honestly say that I’m starting to fall in love with this place, at first I didn’t feel very comfortable, but as time goes by, I find more beauty. I love the architecture, I find beautiful new corners everyday!!! Besides, it is a quiet place, a little bit of country and city at the same time. I have the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Ocean near, mountains and beach… according to my moods (lol!), I think it’s a little paradise…

6. What do you miss the most from your country?
OMG, this one is the hardest to answer! I love my country with all my heart, I think I miss everything! Although I’m starting to feel good in here, I can not deny that my country is the place I love the most in the world. I miss so so so much my family and friends, and the most difficult thing is that I miss my cat Oriana. I miss the spontaneity and warmth of people, I miss the food madly, seeing a football match of my favorite team, walking through my favorite corners of the city with my friends and family, a good party with them and I miss their hugs very much…

7. Let’s say that I’m going abroad for some reason… and I’m at the airport, on the departure side… your words for me would be…?
Go to conquer the world! The world is yours!
Go to conquer the world! The world is yours!
And last but not the least… I would love to learn something in your language… can you tell me what’s your favourite word? :)
Oh no! I thought I had already passed the most difficult part! lol!!!!!! My language is so beautiful, Spanish is a language very elaborate and I love it! I can’t give you a favorite word, but in return I give you a very special phrase for me…
